Wine bottle vases!! We LOVE to RECYCLE!!
R & M Studios continues to go green by recycling more materials. We turned ordinary wine bottles into beautiful and functional floral vases. Using a brushed glue technique with tissue paper we were able to incorporate other materials to finish this one of a kind result. Other materials used in this project were artificial gems, glitter, ribbon and sticky letters. Great job to everyone who participated!!
Mixed Media Mask Design
For our mask design lesson all students studied the art elements and principles to design their masks. They also explored the concept of symmetry and asymmetry while using a variety of media such as acrylic paint, glitter, gem stones and feathers to complete these beautiful pieces. Great job to everyone!!
Picasso's Cubism and self portraiture
Today's Cubist portraits were simply incredible!! We studied the geometric and abstract style of Picasso's Cubism movement. We also discussed color theory in great detail to achieve our abstract affects. Great job to everyone!!
George Seurat's Pointillism study
Our students were allowed to choose their own subject matter to study the unique style of George Seurat. Using Q-tips and an 8"x 10" canvas everyone was able to paint their own one of a kind Pointillism image. Great job to all!!
M. C. Escher Tessellation designs
Our Tessellation designs came out fantastic!! We studied the unique style of M. C. Escher to make our repetitive pattern designs while also reinforcing our knowledge of color theory. The energy of the room certainly shows through these masterpieces!! Great job to everyone!!

Our Personality Collages are spectacular!! Our students were asked to bring to class any pictures or visuals that would best represent their personality and their individuality. This multi media project reflects the energy and persona of each of our students!!
